It is quickly becoming a Christmas tradition over at Bob's Cafe in Sioux Falls. You can stop in for breakfast and any money you donate goes directly to charity.
Three years ago, Ben Weiland was thinking of ways to make a nice, charitable donation on Christmas and that turned into a yearly breakfast event at the cafe.
The cafe gave the Knights of Columbus the donations the past two years and this year they are sending the money to St. Michael's Youth Mission Program.
The word about this breakfast has spread quickly and on Christmas morning there is never a slow moment. Everyone wants to be a part of a great cause and spread a little Christmas cheer through pancakes and sausage.
"They come here, the camaraderie of the people at the counter; you never know who you're going to bump into. They all bring a Christmas story or any number of stories and they have a great time while they're here,” Weiland said.
The breakfast may be over, but Bob's is still open for special turkey dinners the rest of the day.
Jared Ransom will have more on the special Christmas breakfast tradition coming up tonight on KELOLAND News.
