Blizzard Rocks Eastern KELOLAND

Blizzard Rocks Eastern KELOLAND

From Aberdeen to Sisseton, Madison to Sioux Falls, a blizzard slammed Eastern KELOLAND, taking many by surprise.

The blowing snow created accidents and forced interstate closures.

While this was going on, crews in Madison were working to return running water to the City.

Travel inside Sioux Falls city limits was not advised, forcing some city streets to close and creating a Snow Alert for the entire city.

While the snow has subsided, the winds will continue for a while.

Attached to this story is a viewer shot this video on Interstate 29, near the Tea exit, at 3:30 p.m. Mike Esping tells us the roads were snow-covered and he encountered white-out conditions as he approached and left the crash scene.

While KELOLAND News does not recommend shooting video while you're driving, we wanted to share this with you because it shows the severity of the situation.  This crash involves at least ten cars and trucks.
