Bicyclist Hit In Sioux Falls, Hospitalized

SIOUX FALLS, SD -
A bicycle rider was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with what authorities say were life-threatening head injuries after a collision with a car.
The crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Police did not immediately identify the 23-year-old bicyclist.
Authorities say the person was hit by a car driven by a 55-year-old Sioux Falls resident. They say the driver was making a turn at an intersection and struck the bicycle rider, who was in or near a crosswalk.

The Hand County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Leroy Nye, who was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
