Beef Council Asking Producers To Fill Out Surveys
January 30, 2012, 5:41 AM
PIERRE, SD -
The South Dakota Beef Industry Council is asking ranchers and dairy farmers to fill out surveys on the $1 checkoff program.
Executive director Ron Frederick says the organization wants to get producers involved in the process and engage them more fully in the program.
The Mission rancher suggested the survey to the council's directors as a way to enhance communication.
The council administers the $1 beef checkoff on cattle sold in South Dakota.
Frederick says the surveys can be filled out and returned by mail or completed online.
Survey responses will be summarized and the results will be presented to the board this summer prior to planning of the 2013 fiscal year budget.
