BBK: White River Advances Past Langford Area
ABERDEEN, SD -

Defending state champion White River kept its perfect record against state teams alive Thursday with a 51-33 win over Langford Area in the first round of the South Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament.

Joe Cameron and Wyatt Krogman had 14 points each for the Tigers, who took the first steps toward a sixth straight championship game appearance. Matthew Gillen added 10 points.

The Tigers (23-1) are seeking their fourth title since 2008. Their only loss of the season was to a team from Minneapolis.

The Lions (19-5) still have not allowed more than 59 points in a game and held White River way below its average of 89 points.

Drew Planteen had 12 points and Bo Fries 11 for Langford Area.
