Zach Hanson poured in 30 points to lead Pierre T.F. Riggs to a 60-47 victory over Rapid City Central on Thursday in the first round of the South Dakota Class AA basketball tournament.
Hanson hit 14 of 20 field goal attempts and grabbed seven rebounds for the No. 2 seeded Governors (18-5). Lane Severyn added a double-double, finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The Cobblers (10-12) were led by Nathan Miller with 12 points. John Fierro added 12 and Jessie Riddle hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11.
