Bank Robber Claims To Be Armed With Bomb
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Sioux Falls Police are searching for a woman who said she had a bomb during a bank robbery.

Authorities were called to the First Premier Bank at Kiwanis Avenue and 41st Street just before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Sioux Falls Police Public Information Officer Sam Clemens says a woman entered the bank and demanded cash.  While no bomb was ever seen or shown, she did tell the people inside that she had one.  Police aren't sure how she got away following the robbery or if other people are involved.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a white woman in her late 30s to early 40s.  She's between 5'6" and 5'7" and weighs 160 to 180 pounds.  She has dark colored hair with tight curls that was pulled back in a ponytail.  She was wearing a dark-colored Nike shirt with the number 72 in white on left side.

Police have the bank surrounded as they investigate.  They had closed some roads for a time but those are back open now.
