Bail is set at $20,000 for a Sioux Falls man accused of leading police on a chase, assaulting officers and attempting to injure a police dog.
Police stopped 51 year-old David Mortensbak Saturday evening after he was driving the wrong way down the street.
They say he punched an officer and took off. When police caught up with him, they say Mortensbak slammed his truck door multiple times on a K-9 officer's dog helping make the arrest. He also kicked another officer. Police say he blew a .267.
Among Mortensbak's long list of charges are eight felony counts for assaulting police officers, resisting arrest, DWI, injury to a law enforcement animal.
