A boy from Clark is accused of stabbing a girl, but she survived the attack.
It happened early Tuesday at a home in Clark.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley and Clark County States Attorney Chad Fjelland said the 17-year-old boy was arrested on one count of attempted murder. He is currently being held on $250,000 bond and faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison for the crime.
The medical condition and age of the girl who was stabbed were not released.
