Schools in Dell Rapids are back to normal, after students were told to stay inside much of Tuesday morning while law enforcement looked for someone in the small town.
Two people are now being questioned in connection with a deadly shooting in Sioux Falls.
At briefing earlier in the day, Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said a 20-year-old man was killed in the shooting on Monday at a home in northwest Sioux Falls. The other person who was shot, a 48-year-old man, is the victim's father. Clemens says he is in stable condition.
Tuesday morning, law enforcement was in Dell Rapids. Clemens confirmed they were looking for people in connection with the shooting. Authorities say they have two people that they are now talking with as part of the investigation.
The search prompted schools in town to operate under a 'secured perimeter.' That was lifted before noon.
Authorities will answer questions about the investigation during a news conference at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Authorities originally scheduled the conference at 1 p.m., but moved it back.
