Police have identified a man stabbed to death Friday as 52-year-old Douglas Richt, of Council Bluffs.
Officers responding to a disturbance early Friday morning found Richt with a stab wound to his neck on the front porch of a Council Bluffs home. Witnesses say he crawled to the porch after getting out a car.
Police believe 45-year-old Jodie Sherman, of Council Bluffs, stabbed Richt in the car during an argument. Investigators say Richt had picked up Sherman in the car before he was killed. She was arrested shortly after fleeing the car on foot.
Sherman remains in jail, charged with first-degree murder, willful injury and violation of a restraining order.
