Suspicious behavior at a gas station turned into a police chase, but everything ended peacefully.
A clerk at Cubby's called police after noticing someone acting strange while parked at a gas pump.
When officers showed up, the person drove away and eventually led them north on Interstate 29.
Police stopped the pursuit and that's when the Highway Patrol took over.
“Any pursuit our officers are involved in, our supervisors monitor that. The officers have the ability to stop a pursuit at any time, whether it's, I guess, speed or the conditions, high traffic or anything like that. So, if it's something they don't think is safe, they can stop that pursuit," Sioux Falls Police Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said.
The driver faces multiple charges, including aggravated eluding.
Both driver and passenger face drug charges because officers believe they threw marijuana out of the car window.
