Armed Standoff In Mitchell
February 24, 2002, 8:14 AM
Police negotiators are trying to bring a peaceful end to an armed standoff at a home in Mitchell this morning. A man armed with a gun barracaded himself inside his mobile home on Mitchell's east side around midnight. His wife and two children are also inside. But police say they are not being held hostage. Instead, they're refusing to come out of the house as well. Police evacuated three nearby homes as a precaution.
