Acoustic Owners Moving Onto New Venture

January 30, 2014, 10:45 AM by Angela Kennecke

Acoustic Owners Moving Onto New Venture

A Sioux Falls restaurant is serving its last meals this Saturday night.  Acoustic Restaurant at 196 E. 6th St is closing this weekend.

The owner, Tony Kellar, and his brother, Chef Josh Kellar, are going to be partners in a new restaurant coming to the south side of Sioux Falls.

Tony Kellar says a group of owners approached him about a large restaurant with a new concept and location and invited him to bring his team to open it.

While Kellar says the group isn't ready to release more details yet, the new restaurant is not a franchise.  It will seat 300 and have both indoor and outdoor dining.  Kellar says it will have casual dining and be family oriented.  Construction will get underway soon with an opening date set for June.

Kellar is brining several items from the Acoustic restaurant with him to the new establishment, including the Black Jack Burger and Dirty Fries.

Acoustic opened in the Harvester Building in 2012.  The business will auction off the equipment and furnishings on February 25th.
