The man who died of an accidental drowning in Madison early Sunday was in town visiting family.
Douglas "PJ" Bean, 29, was a firefighter and paramedic with the Tuscaloosa Fire Department in Alabama. Officials say he was trying to wade across the flooded Memorial Creek when he drowned.
His body was found around 12:30 Sunday afternoon as residents were checking their property for flood damage.
