This might be the comeback of the year story. For the past few years we've been following the story of Dually, the barrel racing horse that was stolen and beaten so severely, his owner never thought he'd ever be able to compete again.
Owner Wendy Halweg Bechen told KELOLAND News earlier this year that after two long years of rehab, Dually was showing a passion to get back in the game.
By July, Dually had competed in seven rodeos in the Badlands Professional Rodeo Circuit and placed in five of the seven.
Then Sunday night, Dually and his owner won the 2012 South Dakota Rodeo Association barrel racing championship in Rapid City.
