Absentee Ballot Mixup Leads To Ballot Concerns For Candidate

The Sioux Falls city elections are coming up quickly, and before you vote, be sure to check for any irregularities.

City council candidate Rebecca Dunn recently learned her name and the name of her opponent, Michelle Erpenbach, were not included under the central Sioux Falls district options.

City Clerk Lorie Hogstad says there are six different ballots being used for this election.  A voter who requested an absentee ballot was sent the wrong one due to a computer generated clerical error.  Hogstad says the voter did get the correct ballot after reporting the issue.

Dunn says she has been re-assured that the issue is being taken care of, but she also urges voters to double-check the ballot before you make your final decision.
