SIOUX FALLS, SD -
So far we've gone through some extreme temperatures changes recently. In Sioux Falls, we'll go from eight below on Friday morning to the lower 40s on Wednesday. That will be at least a 50-degree swing from the high to the low in less than a week.
February is the month where Sioux Falls has had the largest temperature swing from the record high to the record low. It's a difference of 113 degrees. The next month in that list included a 112-degree swing in March, followed by January, October, and November. The month with the least temperature swing is August with 75.
If you still want snow, don't let the melting this week fool you. There's a chance for snow late this weekend, with another temperature swing coming early next week as a shot of cold air will take aim on the Upper Plains.
