With the latest round of snow, almost three inches fell in Sioux Falls. Areas to the north and west received more as a heavier snow stayed in a narrow band. It was responsible for ten and a half inches in Clear Lake.
There's just about a month and a half left in our snow season and while we're getting close to the end of seeing snow, I'm getting closer to many predictions; well, some of them anyway.
Rapid City is just ten inches away from the 62.5 predicted. Sioux Falls is about three quarters of the way there; I just need a little over a foot. Pierre is about two thirds there with Aberdeen just over halfway. The Hills are inching closer to halfway, but I still need a lot.
The average snowfall in Sioux Falls for the rest of March and all of April is around seven and a half inches; that's still about six inches short of the prediction. But the way the winter has gone and the way spring is going, I'd like to say there's still a chance.
