It's been 50 years to the day since Martin Luther King Jr. shared his dream with a divided nation.
King gave his "I Have a Dream" speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963, to a crowd of more than 250,000 civil rights supporters.
But two years before that, the civil rights activist made a stop right here in KELOLAND. Part of that visit included an interview in our studio.
King spoke to interviewer Doug Hill about how the pursuit of non-violence would be the driving force behind the civil rights movement.
