The intersection of 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue is back open after being shut down for nearly six hours Thursday afternoon.
Just before noon on Thursday, a speeding SUV collided with two other vehicles and flipped over at the intersection in Sioux Falls.
Detectives spent hours studying the scene, closing the northbound lanes of the intersection all afternoon so they could piece together what happened.
Sioux Falls Police say one person is dead and there are numerous injuries following this crash. Witnesses have told police that the vehicle that caused the crash was driving between 65 and 100 miles per hour.
Police haven't identified the victim who died or which vehicle they were in. They also haven't released the exact number of injuries from this crash or how severe the injuries are.
