One man's trash is another man's treasure and that couldn't be more true at the Kingswood Rummage sale. It's one of the largest rummage sales in KELOLAND and this year people are all set up for the big event.
"Everybody comes to it and they all stop in and say hello and that's a lot of fun to just visit with all your neighbors and see people in your community," Kingswood Rummage Sale board member Bridget Myers said.
Myers has been a part of the sale for six years.
"I get involved because I live in the neighborhood and I know it takes volunteers to make this work so I've been on the board since I moved into the neighborhood," Meyers said.
Another neighbor, Liz Thiner, has been a part of the Kingswood rummage sale for 17 years. She says she sets up her sale a few days early to get eager shoppers.
"I'm kind of excited and we get to spend a couple days with my sister-in-law and we get to have some fun and meet some neat people and we get to clean out our closets," Thiner said.
Thiner gives a word of advice if you are planning on coming out, "There are a lot of people looking around and they not be familiar with the neighborhood so be patient with the traffic," Thiner said.
The rummage sale officially starts Wednesday. You can also browse the rummage sale online at kingswoodrummage.com.
