3 Fires Strike Same Sioux Falls Neighborhood

SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Three fires struck the same area of Sioux Falls overnight.
The first call came in around 11:00 p.m. Monday for a reported garage fire at 631 South Dakota Avenue. When crews arrived they found a vehicle on fire in side of the garage. Crews had the fire out with in a few minutes. The car and garage are damaged.
The second call came in an hour and a half later for another garage fire at 810 West 12th Street. Crews found a shed fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. They say it’s a total loss and a garage near the shed also had fire damage on one side.
Around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday authorities received a third call for a dumpster fire at 738 West 10th Street. They had that out within minutes of arriving.
No one was hurt and authorities are now investigating whether the fires are connected.

The Hand County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Leroy Nye, who was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.

According to the Hand County Sheriff's Office, Leroy Nye and the vehicle Nye drove have been found but no other details have been released.
