2013 Home Sales In Sioux Falls

With the end of 2013 comes a chance to review housing sales in Sioux Falls.

According to the REALTOR Association of the Sioux Empire, pending sales in the region were up 11.7 percent from January 2013 through December 2013.  New listings and sales started the year strong.  Closed sales were up nearly 90 percent in January, but were down nearly 4.7 percent in December.  The median sales price rose 9.8 percent in January.  It was up 3.1 percent for the year with a median price of $153,000.

Homes priced between $150,001 to $200,000 sold the quickest in 2013.  The fastest sales were in May, when homes averaged 75 days on the market.  In December, the average sale took 99 days.
