2 Sentenced To Prison For Vehicle Thefts

MITCHELL, SD -
Two 18-year-olds have been sentenced to the state penitentiary for multiple vehicle thefts and vandalism in Mitchell.
Christopher Zephier Jr. was sentenced Wednesday to three years and Derick LaFromboise was
sentenced to four years. They also were ordered to pay $20,847 in restitution.
LaFromboise was involved in a brief standoff with Mitchell police in December when they tried to arrest him.
Zephier's mother, 35-year-old Stella Zephier, received a suspended two-year prison sentence and a 31-day jail sentence for being an accessory to a felony.
