White Sox rally past Twins, 4-3
(Chicago-AP) -- Sandy Alomar doubled home the winning run in the
ninth inning tonight as the Chicago White Sox rallied past the
Minnesota Twins 4-to-3.
The Twins had their five-game winning streak stopped and lost to
the Sox for just the second time in 12 games this season.
LaTroy Hawkins gave up three hits and two runs in the ninth
without recording an out. He blew his fourth save in 25 chances and
is now 1-and-2 with the loss.
Keith Foulke pitched a scoreless ninth and got the win to
improve to 3-and-5.
The game was scoreless until the sixth when Tom Prince scored on
a double by Cristian Guzman.
One out later, Matt Lawton doubled to left center to make it
2-nothing.
Jose Canseco homered off Eric Milton in the sixth and Carlos Lee
did the same off reliever Bob Wells in the eighth to make it
3-to-2.
