Some counterfeit money has turned up in Aberdeen.
Police say several counterfeit $5 bills were passed at two different convenience stores in Aberdeen between Monday and Wednesday of this week.
Although the bills have different serial numbers, they’re missing the security watermark. The money also came back counterfeit when tested with a counterfeit bill detecting pen.
Police say they don’t have any suspects in this investigation. They encourage business owners to report suspicious bills to them as soon as possible.
