Senators are preparing to offer changes to the health care reform bill that was proposed last week.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle want to change the plan put forward by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus.

Some don't like the lack of a public option. Other concerns include cost, a new tax on high-value insurance plans, and whether it does enough to help low and moderate income Americans buy insurance.

Lawmakers fear the tax on so-called Cadillac insurance plans will simply be passed on to consumers and some are suggesting that the threshold for the tax should be increased.

Baucus acknowledges he walked a fine line in putting his plan together.

The committee will spend much of the week dealing with proposed amendments.
