Five People, Including Pregnant Woman, Die In South Dakota Crash

Five people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in a crash in southwestern South Dakota, according to Pennington County fire officials. 

The crash happened Saturday evening on Hwy. 44 between Interior and Wanblee, SD. 

The only survivor in the car was a 16-month-old baby boy.

Five Children Dead In Spearfish Fire

Five children, between the ages of 6 and 11 years old, died in a fire Saturday morning in Spearfish, SD. 

"What we've seen this morning is an unspeakable horror, but some extreme professionalism," said Lt. Boyd Dean, Spearfish Police Department.

Teen Killed In Watertown Shootings

A teenager is dead in Watertown following a weekend shooting. Police have arrested a 30-year-old for 2nd degree murder. 

Police say a neighborhood dispute Saturday night escalated when a man pulled out a handgun and fired once, striking 17-year-old Jayden Harley.

18-Year-Old Facing Rape And Child Porn Charges

An 18-year-old Baltic man is facing rape charges after allegedly forcing a teenage girl to take naked pictures of herself. 

Along with the rape charges, Nicholas Schmidt also faces child porn charges. According to court papers, the victim says Schmidt has been forcing her to take naked pictures of herself for more than a year.

Five Killed, Four Injured In Crash In Western South Dakota

Five people died and four others were sent to the hospital in a traffic crash near Red Shirt, SD, an official with the Rapid City Fire Department told KELOLAND News. 

The FBI and tribal officials are leading the investigation.

Missing Pregnant Woman's Body Found

The body of a 22-year-old pregnant North Dakota woman last seen about a week ago has been found, according to the CBS affiliate in Fargo. 

Fargo Police have confirmed late Sunday that Savanna Grewind's remains were found near Moorhead, MN in the Red River.

Police: Teen Killed In Crash, Another Charged With Murder

Police confirmed that a teenager killed in a two-vehicle crash along Western Avenue is 15-year-old Kareem Hussein Cisse.

According to Lt. Mike Colwill, Cisse was a passenger inside a sedan in the early hours of Wednesday. He and two other minors had arranged to buy a "very small amount of marijuana." When the group stole the drugs from the dealers, investigators say they were chased by a pickup truck driven by 16-year-old Alexander Lingor.

Search Warrant Conducted On Home Owned By Sioux Falls Fire Chief

A search warrant was conducted on the house owned by Sioux Falls Fire Chief Jim Sideras by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office.  It was part of an ongoing investigation by the DCI, a spokesperson confirms to KELOLAND News. 

Sideras' last day with the City of Sioux Falls is Tuesday, according to the city.

3 People Dead, Curfew Set On American Indian Reservation

Three people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a residence on the Crow Indian Reservation in southeastern Montana. The tribe has instituted an emergency curfew.

The FBI said Saturday that three people were shot and killed Friday afternoon in Lodge Grass. Big Horn County Coroner Terry Bullis said autopsies were planned Saturday.

Garth Brooks Song Forever Changed Sioux Falls Couple

Seeing Garth Brooks in concert at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center will be a bittersweet experience for one Sioux Falls woman.  She's excited about attending the concert with friends next weekend.   But the outing will also be tempered by sadness because of who won't be going with her that day.

To Mat and Megan Timmer, Garth Brooks's ballad "If Tomorrow Never Comes," was their song.
