A Sioux Falls business owner is thrilled that Barack Obama is coming to town. 



David Jones opened his fashion store last December. He says the economy and insurance are some of the biggest issues in the presidential race, and he wants to hear from all candidates before he makes up his mind. 



That's why he glad to have the chance to hear from Barack Obama in person, and see what the hype is all about. 



Jones says, “There are a lot of people I hear that are falling out when he comes, that he's filling up stadiums with people, the thousands.

Daschle Plays Role In Obama Campaign


Former U.S. Senator Tom Daschle has played a big role in Barack Obama's campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.



Daschle signed on as an Obama supporter early in the campaign and became national co-chair of the Illinois senator's campaign.



The former South Dakota senator estimates that a couple dozen of his former staffers are now working in Obama's campaign or Senate office.

Two days of campaign stops by the democratic candidates for president starts today.



Hillary Clinton will visit Jones' Farms near Bath this morning for a town hall meeting on the rural economy. It's scheduled to start at 10:15.

Native American Vote Could Be Important In Primary

Bill Clinton made a campaign swing today through the Pine Ridge Reservation on his wife Hillary's behalf. It's Clinton's second stop in western South Dakota since the weekend. His latest visit shows the growing importance candidates place on the Native American vote.


In June 1999, then-President Bill Clinton came to the Pine Ridge Reservation pushing a plan to bring more jobs and affordable housing to Indian county.
