An Aberdeen-based manufacturer will be staying open longer than expected.
Molded Fiber Glass announced Thursday that it has received a "substantial" new order for wind turbine blades. Instead of closing in February, the company expects the plant to stay open at least until July 2018.
Company officials credited Sen. John Thune and the preservation of a renewable energy tax credit in the reform bill recently passed by Congress.
