Mount Marty College Freezes Tuition

Students who attend Mount Marty College won't see their tuition bills go up next year.

The college's board of trustees has voted to freeze 2014-2015 tuition and fees at this year's rates.  

“The decision to hold tuition constant underscores the commitment that we at Mount Marty College have to keep a private, Catholic college education affordable and accessible to our students,” Mount Marty College President Dr. Joseph Benoit said.  “We are pleased to be among the most affordable private colleges in the nation and look forward to continuing our tradition of providing affordable educational excellence in a Christ centered environment.”

In comparison to other schools in the Great Plains Athletic Conference, Mount Marty College ranks ten out of 11 schools for overall tuition and fee affordability.

The college has also received national recognition in areas of service, affordability and return on investment. 99 percent of students attending Mount Marty College need financial assistance. Graduates report a 96 percent employment rate in degree-relevant programs, as well as nearly 100 percent acceptance into graduate and professional programs.  

Mount Marty College offers more than 28 undergraduate degree programs and has locations in Yankton, Sioux Falls and Watertown.  Yankton and Sioux Falls also have graduate programs in education, nursing and nurse anesthesia.  

Mount Marty was founded in 1936 by the Sisters of Saint Benedict of Yankton, South Dakota.
