Holiday Travel Expected To Jump Two Percent

Holiday travel is expected to jump two percent in South Dakota.

According to Triple A, 84.4 million Americans, including 264,000 South Dakotans, are expected to take road trips during the season. Air travel is expected to go up by nearly 5 percent in the state.

Lower gas prices and air fares are encouraging more people to travel.

But travelers will be paying more for hotel rooms and rental cars, which jumped up 41 percent.
