Great Plains Zoo, HyVee Continue Partnership

Sioux Falls, SD

HyVee wants to make sure your kids have a good time at the Great Plains Zoo.

On Tuesday, the grocery store chain announced it will donate $100,000 over the next four years.  The money will go toward improvements at the HyVee Face-To-Face Farm -- including a new roof on the barn and a new playground for kids. The partnership with Hy-Vee started with a donation in 2009.

"I hope it's not lost on anyone what a significant investment this is by HyVee for our community, and we are truly grateful and truly happy to stand next to you and build a great zoo right here in Sioux Falls," Great Plains Zoo President and CEO Elizabeth Whealy said.

The HyVee Face-To-Face Farm replaced the old Children's Zoo. It gives visitors a chance to feed and pet the animals.
