Storm Center Update Sunday AM - July 16

Today will sunny and hot again with highs in the 90s to near 100 degrees. The wind will shift from the east to the south which means humidity will slowly climb back up but we won’t really feel it until Monday.

The next week brings some changes to our weather. The dome of hot, high pressure will weaken its grip on KELOLAND and the Midwest. This means we can bring back showers and thunderstorms to the forecast.

Monday is still expected to be hot, with highs in the 90s to low 100s but a cold front will pass through the area so thunderstorms are a possibility Monday afternoon into the evening for western, central, and northeast KELOLAND.

The thunderstorm potential continues into Tuesday and Wednesday as well with afternoon high temperatures reaching the low to middle 90s. Thursday and Friday look overall dry, but isolated, summer storms in the heat of the day are possible. Highs will be cooler, reaching the 80s to near 90 degrees.
