Hot weather and scattered t-storms continue to be themes of the forecast. Locally heavy downpours developed yesterday West River with around 1" of rain in downtown Rapid City along with some heavy runoff.
We still have some isolated rain East River this morning, but dry and warm weather is likely this afternoon.
Highs will once again get into the 90s west of Sioux Falls.
Lows will be mild again tonight, mainly in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Thunderstorms will be possible in far west and north.
Temperatures begin to cool tomorrow west and north and clouds and chances of rain accompany the approaching cold front.
Notice how cold it gets in Montana by Friday. Winter storm watches are posted for some of the mountain areas above 6000 feet!
We will certainly feel fall-like weather on Saturday with 60s in Sioux Falls, but only 50s in Rapid City. Rain chances will continue as well.
While the weather will be cooler this weekend, warmer weather should return early next week with 70s likely.
