Snow continues to fall this morning across KELOLAND, but is diminishing across the west and central. Here are some totals as of 6am:
Sioux Falls: 2.3"
Rapid City: 10"
Keep checking back for new numbers as we receive them. FutureScan decreases the snow through the morning with clearing skies to follow this evening.
Highs today will be cold in the single digits and lower teens.
The fresh snow cover will deliver very cold temperatures overnight well below zero.
Tomorrow will still be cold, but a little warmer than today with more sunshine.
Thursday features snow chances again across eastern KELOLAND. A few inches will be possible, but we'll take a closer look at that later today.
There could another round of snow in southern KELOLAND on Saturday and we may not be done. An active jet stream pattern will set up across much of the nation next week. While individual storm tracks are not known yet, keep watching for more storms as we head into March. The eventual tracks will depend on the strength of the cold moving in from Canada.
