We are on track for breezy weather today, but temperatures will remain near normal today with plenty of sunshine this afternoon.
Here's the wind forecast. We have 2 surges of northwest winds to track. The first arrives this morning. The next one comes on Friday. We'll see the coolest air arriving by Saturday morning.
Temperatures will hold in the lower 40s overnight.
Tomorrow should still be mild with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s. Minnesota will be a little cooler.
We'll have to watch the impact of the Minnesota air on Saturday across eastern SD. We may end up lower Saturday's high just a bit.
Sunday looks warmer, much warmer in fact for Rapid City. Look for scattered rain along the warm front by Sunday night and Monday morning.
Monday still looks like the warmest day of the 7-day forecast. We have a shot of 80 in Sioux Falls ahead of the cold front. That feature will bring scattered t-storms to the region Monday night.
It looks a little cooler Tuesday and Wednesday. Not bad for a forecast this time of year.
