Good Wednesday morning!
Northwest winds will continue to keep the cold air in place in KELOLAND. Highs today will once again be in the 20s for eastern KELOLAND with 30s in central and western South Dakota.
It’s also another day where a flurries and light snow showers will still be possible. Anything that falls will remain light with accumulations being less than an inch. But be aware of slight streets and sidewalks for the morning.
The southern Hills of western South Dakota will continue with snow this morning and afternoon as Winter Weather Advisories continue in the southern Hills for today. Northwest winds will gusts to near 35 mph on occasion.
Tomorrow will feature yet another chance for light snow and flurries as temperatures remain in the 20s and 30s. The snow chance will start in western South Dakota late in the morning and into the afternoon. Central South Dakota will have a chance for light snow after 3:00 PM and eastern KELOLAND will see flurries and light snow showers after sunset. Snow amounts will remain light with many areas receiving less than an inch.
Temperatures will slowly warm Friday and for the weekend. There’s some information suggesting that highs will return to the 40s in eastern KELOLAND on Sunday. The warm weather will be short lived as colder air will once again come in from the north. With the colder air, rain and snow will be possible for Monday and Tuesday.
