Good Thursday morning!
Cold air has settled across KELOLAND as temperatures are in the single digits in central and eastern South Dakota. At least the winds are not as strong as what they have been, but any wind we have out there is creating wind chills below zero.
It will be another cold day with highs in the 20s and 30s. We’ll watch for another round of light snow or flurries in western South Dakota late this morning and early afternoon. They will move into central South Dakota during the late afternoon and into eastern KELOLAND after sunset. I don’t expect any big amounts of snow, as things will be in the form of flurries or light snow showers.
Warmer temperatures will return for Friday and the warming trend will last through the weekend. Highs on Sunday will be in the 40s in eastern South Dakota (slightly cooler in Minnesota) to near 60 in western South Dakota.
Cold air will return on Monday. Along with the colder air, light rain and snow showers will be possible. The snow chance will last into Tuesday as temperatures retreat to the 30s in eastern KELOLAND.
