Storm Center Update - Monday AM April 16

We’ll start with clouds in eastern KELOLAND, but skies will eventually become partly cloudy to mostly sunny.

today

Temperatures will be cold with highs in the 30s, and 40s in eastern KELOLAND with warmer numbers in western South Dakota.  Even though the temps won't be that warm, the power of the April sunshine will aide in melting snow and ice.

 tomorrow

We'll do it again tomorrow in eastern KELOLAND, but Western South Dakota will feel the effects of the next storm system.  This means western KELOLAND will have thicker clouds and a chance for rain.  The rain will switch to snow in the evening and overnight.  As low pressure moves through Nebraska, the rain and snow mix will move into central and eastern KELOLAND.

advisory

Early indications are suggesting amounts will be greater than 4 inches in Iowa and Minnesota; this is an area that is currently under a Winter Storm Watch starting Tuesday night and lasting into Wednesday.

Once the system leaves, temperatures will remain cold with highs in the 30s and 40s through at least Friday.
