November Chill

sioux falls, sd

It's a cold start to your work week as temperatures fell to the single digits and teens many locations.

Single-digits lows were found in central, north central and northeast KELOLAND Monday morning.  Thirteen degrees has been our coldest low so far in Sioux Falls; that happened on Black Friday.

Sioux Falls usually sees its first single-digit low by November 21.  Since 1990, the earliest single-digit reading was November 2, 1991, when it was six degrees.  The latest since during that time span was December 23, 2001.

While we should have already had temps in the single digits, we should have also had over six inches of snow. So far, Sioux Falls is sitting at just over an inch.  While this week will start cold, warmer weather will soon return with some areas getting back to the 50s and 60s later this week.
