Just after noon Monday, the South Dakota Department of Transportation announced that westbound lanes of I-90 were closed between Wall and New Underwood. By 2 p.m., state officials announced the road was back open with a short detour
A no travel advisory continues to be in effect for the same area. High winds mixed with blowing snow have created poor visibility for drivers.
Drivers are asked to use caution as sustained winds range from 20 to 40 miles per hours in most areas while gusts reach over 50 miles per hour.
