East Central South Dakota Still In Need Of Rain

While the June rainfall totals have made the record books in southeast KELOLAND, not all of the area is getting the water.

Flooding and severe storms have been making headlines for several days.  While Sioux Falls and southeast KELOLAND will continue to add to the totals this week, others areas are not as wet.

There are areas in east central South Dakota that are still below average for the month.  Huron is close to an inch and a half below.  Barely below average amounts are also in central and south central South Dakota for Pierre and Winner.  Not far away, Valentine is well above as is Mobridge.

While Monday was a good time to dry things out, the dry skies will not last long.  More rain is on the way later this week.  Along with the rain chances, we'll have to watch for severe weather also.
