Rain is still in the forecast for Memorial Day weekend.
The weekend weather pattern is still showing showers and thunderstorms coming to the Midwest. KELOLAND will be on the northern edge of a system that could soak places to our south.
The current track has the cut off upper air low moving east ever so slowly along the U.S. and Mexico border bringing much needed moisture to the Midwest. While South Dakota expects to see rain, some areas in Oklahoma and Kansas have potential to see up to two to three inches of rain when it's all said and done.
That is a good thing considering the most recent drought monitor has the most extreme drought where the rain is headed.
The rain looks to start in South Dakota Friday night and a warm up will continue through the weekend until we hit low 80s by next week.
