Blowing Snow Reducing Visibility, Creating Bad Driving Conditions

Sioux Falls

Many roads in South Dakota are snow covered and slippery after a day of snow.

According to SafeTravelUSA, advisories has been issued for almost all major highways across the state. Winds are drifting snow onto roadways and reducing visibilities.

Pennington County issued a no travel advisory Thursday night and asked drivers to wait until later Friday morning to use the roads. The South Dakota Department of Transportation has issued similar advisories in northwest South Dakota on roads such as U.S. Highways 85 and 212.
