The muggy conditions on Monday morning greeted many of us in southeast KELOLAND. With the high humidity in place, scattered storms can easily spark. The chances for storms are in the forecast this week; it's just a matter of what's around to get them going.
Warm temperatures and high humidity will be around through at least midweek. As a storm system rolls through the upper plains, scattered storms will have to be monitored on Wednesday and Thursday. The weekend will pose another threat for storms, ahead of much colder air, which will invade on Monday.
As temperatures rebound after the cool down, another round of storms will be possible ahead of the next shot of colder air during the last week of August. Severe weather chances will also be monitored when the storms rumble through.
