Snow blankets Sioux Falls again after our recent round of four inches. It was heavier in central and northeast South Dakota with the latest round dumping nine inches in Aberdeen and Pierre. It's done nothing but help with my snowfall prediction, here's where I stand.
The closest is in Sioux Falls with 82 percent of my prediction, Pierre is next at 80 percent. Western South Dakota has skipped out on the snow over the past couple of weeks, but I'm still about two-thirds of the way there for Rapid City and the northern Hills. Aberdeen has jumped to almost 60 percent of the prediction.
While light snow may fall for this weekend, it doesn't look like a major snow storm. We have warming temperatures for next week with highs returning to the 50s for some of us in central and eastern KELOLAND.
That doesn't mean we'll stay in the 50s. The see-saw battle of warm and cold air will keep our chances for snow around.

While February and early March haven't been kind to those looking for warmer weather, the cold air and snow has helped my snowfall prediction. But I can use some more.
