Colman-Egan Wins "9B" Football Championship

A year after winning the class "9A" championship in South Dakota high school football, Colman-Egan has claimed the "9B" title with a 42-28 win over Sully Buttes.

The Hawks built a 30-6 halftime lead.  The top-seeded Chargers trimmed the deficit to eight points in the fourth quarter, but a 50-yard touchdown run by Kade Groos sealed the win for Colman-Egan.

Groos rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns.  Kade was named the Joe Robbie MVP, while Bodee Groos had 154 rushing yards and a touchdown.  He also threw for 73 yards and a score.

Colman-Egan finished the season a perfect 12-0, while Sully Buttes suffered its first loss (11-1).
