Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Wednesday that head coach and general manager Cary Eades will not be returning to the club for the 2015-16 season. Eades has taken the same position with the Fargo Force and will begin his duties with the Force immediately.
“We want to thank Cary for his contributions to the club over the last three years, including a championship this past season,” stated Stampede CEO/President Tom Garrity. “We appreciate what he has done to put a winning product back onto the ice and wish him nothing but the best in Fargo.”
Eades spent the past three seasons as head coach and general manager of the Herd after spending the previous eight seasons as a coach at the University of North Dakota where he also played collegiately.
The Stampede will introduce their new head coach at a press conference Thursday at 3:30 PM inside the front lobby of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The public is welcome to attend.
